Leesburg, VA — Goose Creek Association has been selected as the beneficiary of Run the Rock Leesburg, a unique community trail race hosted by Luck Stone that combines outdoor recreation with environmental stewardship.
Run the Rock Leesburg invites runners and walkers of all experience levels to take part in a scenic 5K course through the rugged terrain of the Luck Stone quarry in Leesburg. Unlike traditional road races, this event takes place on gravel and natural trails, offering participants a one-of-a-kind running experience while showcasing the region’s working landscapes.
As the event’s beneficiary, Goose Creek Association will receive proceeds from the race to support its mission of protecting water quality, conserving natural lands, and engaging the community in stewardship of the Goose Creek watershed. Funds raised will directly benefit the organization’s conservation, education, and restoration programs throughout Loudoun and Fauquier counties.
Registration for Run the Rock Leesburg is currently $25, with prices increasing after January 17. Community members are encouraged to register early to take advantage of the discounted rate while supporting local conservation efforts.
Goose Creek Association extends its gratitude to the organizer of Run the Rock Leesburg, Luck Stone, for selecting the organization as this year’s beneficiary, and to all participants who are helping protect local waterways—one step at a time.
